Our whole ethos was bought about by the desire of our Managing Director who herself was homeless, living rough, and wanted to help people in their difficulties. She understands not only the physical difficulties of living on the streets, the cold, wet and physical abuses suffered, but also the mental anguish. This is manifested by low self esteem, rejection from previous friends and constant fear.

Also she knows how the longer time goes by, the harder it becomes to accept any contact from loved ones and the need for a mentor to act as a catalyst to overcome these fears.
