My name is Valerie Smith co-founder of Global Melting Pot C.I.C. Helping Hands For The Disadvantaged. I have spent many years living rough on the street

and understand not only the physical difficulties of living on the street, suffering the cold, the wet and the personal abuses, but also the mental anguish.

This was manifested by low self-esteem, rejection from previous friends and I used to live in constant fear. However, I have overcome these problems, but

still have vivid memories of my life living rough. This has led me to be part of Global Melting Pot.                                     

My passion is to help the homeless, so they gain full confidence and help them back into socieity.
